The Dark Knight Rises Not the Last Batman for Christian Bale?

Christian Bale isn't opposed to Batman 4
It has long been speculated that The Dark Knight Rises would be the last Batman movie for both director Christopher Nolan and star Christian Bale. But Christian Bale isn't opposed to donning the cowl a fourth time after The Dark Knight Rises. Though, he will only do it if Christopher Nolan is still behind the whole operation.
Christian Bale recently spoke out on his feelings about a proposed Batman 4. Here is what he had to say:
All I know is the likelihood that this will be the last one. Well, I wouldn't say definitely. If Chris goes, "Hey, I've got another story I think could be interesting," then yeah, great, I'd go do that. I always assumed it would be three, but I could be wrong. I don't know if there's something wrong with me, but I don't feel any pressure.
Bale then spoke about the casting of Tom Hardy as Bane:
[Tom Hardy] seems like he's balls-out, doesn't he? Like he really goes for it. He looked like a guy that was happy to go to extremes, to really push it. Looks like he could go the distance..."
The Dark Knight Rises comes to theaters July 20th, 2012 and stars Christian Bale, Morgan Freeman, Michael Caine, Gary Oldman, Tom Hardy, Anne Hathaway. The film is directed by Christopher Nolan.
