Opening in theaters on March 18th is the new sci-fi comedy from Superbad and Adventureland director Greg Mottola called Paul. The film reunites Shaun of the Dead and Hot Fuzz stars Simon Pegg (Star Trek) and Nick Frost (Pirate Radio), and also features an all-star cast that includes Seth Rogen (The Green Hornet), Kristen Wiig (Whip It!), Bill Hader (Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs), Jason Bateman (The Kingdom), Jane Lynch (Role Models), David Koechner (The Comebacks), Jeffrey Tambor (Hellboy), and three-time Oscar nominee Sigourney Weaver (Avatar). We recently had a chance to travel to the infamous Area 51 in Rachel, Nevada and speak with actors Simon Pegg and Nick Frost, as well as director Greg Mottola about the new film, alien movies, Comic-Con, and director Steven Spielberg's influence on the project. Simon Pegg and Nick Frost reunite for the comedy adventure Paul as two sci-fi geeks whose pilgrimage takes them to America's UFO heartland. While there, they accidentally meet an alien who brings them on an insane road trip that alters their universe forever. For the past 60 years, an alien named Paul (voiced by Seth Rogen) has been hanging out at a top-secret military base. For reasons unknown, the space-traveling smart ass decides to escape the compound and hop on the first vehicle out of town ... a rented RV containing Earthlings Graeme Willy (Pegg) and Clive Collings (Frost). Chased by federal agents and the fanatical father of a young woman that they accidentally kidnap, Graeme and Clive hatch a fumbling escape plan to return Paul to his mother ship. And as two nerds struggle to help, one little green man might just take his fellow outcasts from misfits to intergalactic heroes.
Paul comes to theaters March 18th, 2011 and stars Mia Stallard, Simon Pegg, Nick Frost, Jeremy Owen, Jeffrey Tambor, David House, Jennifer Granger, Nelson Ascencio. The film is directed by Greg Mottola.
