Ludacris Joins New Year's Eve




Ludacris set for New Year's Eve

Ludacris is the latest to join the star-studded cast of Garry Marshall's holiday ensemble New Year's Eve.

The actor will portray a New York City cop, who is working the Times Square beat on the holiday. He interacts with the director of the holiday festivities, who is played by Hilary Swank.

Garry Marshall is directing the comedy from a script by his Valentine's Day screenwriter, Katherine Fugate. The story of New Year's Eve follows the similar thread of Valentine's Day, with several strangers looking for love on the holiday, whose stories become intertwined.

Production is currently under way in New York City.

New Year's Eve comes to theaters December 9th, 2011 and stars Robert De Niro, Jake Gyllenhaal, Ashton Kutcher, Zac Efron, Lea Michele, Jessica Biel, SofĂ­a Vergara, Abigail Breslin. The film is directed by Garry Marshall.
