Pulitzer Prize-winning author and screenwriter Michael Chabon may be rewriting Disney's Magic Kingdom project.
When we first reported on this project back in September, Disney revealed they are looking for a new screenwriter. While an offer hasn't been made yet, Michael Chabon has met with director Jon Favreau about the family adventure.
Battlestar Galactica creator Ronald D. Moore wrote the original draft of the screenplay. Magic Kingdom will center on a family trapped inside Disneyland, who discover the attractions at the theme park come to life.
It isn't clear when production will start on Magic Kingdom.
Magic Kingdom is in development . The film is directed by Jon Favreau.
