A Greek warrior prepares for a rain-drenched battle in the poster for 300: Rise of an Empire, which writer-producer Zack Snyder debuted on his Twitter page. Sullivan Stapleton stars as General Themistokles, who attempts to unite all of Greece in battle against the evil Persian ruler Xerxes (Rodrigo Santoro). If this one-sheet is any indication, it sure will be one messy battle when director Noam Murro's stylized adventure hits theaters on August 2.

300: Rise of an Empire comes to theaters August 2nd, 2013 and stars Eva Green, Rodrigo Santoro, Sullivan Stapleton, Mark Killeen, Jack O'Connell, Hans Matheson, Andrew Tiernan, Callan Mulvey. The film is directed by Noam Murro.
