Simon Pegg confirms his return to Mission: Impossible 5

Less than a week after Paramount issued a Christmas Day 2015 release date for Mission: Impossible 5, actor Simon Pegg confirmed that he is coming back as tech specialist Benji Dunn. Here's what he had to say during a recent interview, joking about his new diet to get in shape.

"Yes, absolutely. I'm looking forward to doing that. I've already started eating one carrot a day in order to be in shape."

Simon Pegg first appeared as Benji Dunn in 2006's Mission: Impossible III, directed by J.J. Abrams. He reprised the role in director Brad Bird's 2011's blockbuster Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol.

Christopher McQuarrie is directing Mission: Impossible 5 from a screenplay by Drew Pearce (Iron Man 3). Tom Cruise is returning as IMF agent Ethan Hunt, and it has been rumored that Mission: Impossible Ghost Protocol stars Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton and Ving Rhames will also come back, although their involvement has not been confirmed.

Mission: Impossible 5 comes to theaters December 25th, 2015 and stars Tom Cruise, Jeremy Renner, Paula Patton, Ving Rhames, Simon Pegg. The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie.
