Hot News: Has an AT-AT Been Spotted on the Tatooine Set of 'Star Wars 7'?

The National, an English-language daily newspaper that reports out of Abu Dhabi, have what they are claiming to be the first set photos from Star Wars: Episode VII as production gears up in the desert. The photos reveal a large round object, presumed to be a prop, being wheeled out of a tent against the sandy landscape. After the photo made its way online, many began to speculate that this was the foot of an AT-AT, the All Terrain Armored Transport vehicle made famous in Star Wars: Episode V - The Empire Strikes Back as it stormed the icy rebel base on Hoth. It was later spotted on the forest moon of Endor. Will it next terrorize the good folks of Tatooine? It is, after all, an All Terrain vehicle. Take a look at the embedded photo.

As you can see, it 'sort of' matches up with the giant foot of an AT-AT, with another piece beside it presumed to be the ankle.

There is no official confirmation that this is even part of the Star Wars: Episode VII set, or that the production has arrived in Abu Dhabi. The National has reportedly been trying to track down leads, and they hit quite a few dead ends, until a crew member started flirting with a source on Tinder. Just a few days later, these pictures emerged.

Star Wars News claims that the piece also resembles the escape pod upon which C3P0 and R2D2 used to crash land on Tatooine in the original 1977 Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope. To see their diagrams that support the evidence that we may be looking at an AT-AT or a Space Pod: clickHere

What do you think this prop is? Or is it even related to the movie? Why is an AT-AT in the desert. Is Tatooine where the rest of the Empire went to hide after the destruction of the final Death Star. Was it stolen? A gift to the Hutt clan? For even further evidence, there was this tweet from Bad Robot that seemed to hint at the return of this popular vehicle.
